I had a pleasant stay at The House Hotel, thanks to its great location near Eyre Square and an array of pubs and restaurants. The staff's friendliness added a nice touch, making my experience enjoyable overall. However, I did encounter a few issues during my visit, such as some minor inconsistencies with breakfast quality and a slightly worn carpet in my room.

I had a mixed experience at The House Hotel in Galway. While the location was fantastic and close to everything in the city center (I loved the vibrant nightlife!), the room conditions were disappointing, with stained carpets and a generally worn feeling. The breakfast was a hit or miss—some items were great, while others left much to be desired.

Rooms

My room was comfortable but had some serious cleanliness issues, such as stained carpets and broken blinds. The size felt a bit cramped too, despite the boutique charm.

The staff were friendly and polite, which made a difference in the overall experience, but there was a notable lapse during breakfast service. They forgot our tea and took forever with our food order.

Breakfast offerings were decent, but not consistent. I had some lovely homemade pastries, yet other items in the meal I found rather disappointing. One time, my burger was rubbery (yikes!).

I had a good time at The House Hotel, though it came with a few hiccups. The location is unbeatable, right in the vibrant Latin Quarter, which made exploring Galway a breeze. However, I faced some confusion at check-in, and my room wasn't made up on my second day. Overall, I would consider staying again for the friendly staff and delicious breakfast, but there are definitely areas for improvement.

My room was larger than typical European rooms, but I was surprised that there were no power points next to the bed. The decor was unique, which I appreciated, but I encountered other oddities like a light shining in from the attic.
Service

I had a nice stay at The House Hotel, though there were some ups and downs. The location is spot on, just a stone's throw from bars, shops, and all the fun in Galway. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, which made for a lovely atmosphere. However, I did encounter some issues with the breakfast presentation and the limited parking options, which was a bit annoying. Overall, it was a decent experience, but not without its quirks.
